About Corey Muñoz
Corey Muñoz, PhD, is the Chief Learning Officer of KPMG LLP, where he leads a learning strategy designed to build on the firm’s strong record of success and evolve its approach to meet the needs of the future.
In his time with the firm, he has established a centralized competency framework to better align development efforts across the firm’s many different service offerings. He has also championed the importance of empowering learners to drive their own development and actively engage in a wide variety of learning experiences.
In January 2020, Muñoz and other senior KPMG leaders cut the ribbon and opened the doors of KPMG Lakehouse, the firm’s new world-class learning and innovation center—and the largest capital investment in its history. Today, the Lakehouse campus in Orlando, FL hosts up to 1000 professionals a day, immersing them in an environment teeming with collaborative learning inside and outside the classroom. Muñoz continues to guide efforts to achieve the tremendous potential impact of this multifaceted facility on KPMG’s people, its business, and its culture.
Originally from Oklahoma, Muñoz has followed a career path across the country and into Canada, where he served as CLO for TD Bank Group in Ontario. He joined KPMG as CLO in 2017, and now lives in New York City.
