Heather Pownall

Heather Pownall and her team help public accounting firms and companies equip their finance and accounting staff with vital knowledge and skills needed to thrive into the future. In this role, she combines her passions for leadership, productivity and continuous learning. She also serves as a board member for the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce. In prior roles, Pownall served as director of operations for a solar power start-up company, a communications director for a nonprofit organization representing global leaders in sustainable business practices, an account executive for a NYC-based marketing agency, and a journalist at a 24-hour news station in Tampa, Florida. Pownall earned an MBA in 2011 from North Carolina State University and recently completed a two-year term as a leadership scholar with the American Society of Association Executives — earning the Certified Association Executive credential.
